OK, So after months of trying to solve why my 750ti 2gb cant play games like killing floor or dead island at 1920x1080 at lowest settings with v-syn off without stuttering or mouse lag, I have decided to maybe upgrade it to a 970 or a r290x 8gb, just wondering if the other parts from this rig would be able to support them sufficiently?
i5-4460
gigabyte z68-d3-b3
(with the ram I have 2x4gb 1333 from an old built and 1x8gb 1600 from this built I could use them both for 16gb?)
I have a sata HDD and dvd drive, and a stock cpu fan, along with a zalman z9 case, and a stayqiet 530w psu. any help much appreciated had lots of problems with the old pc just dont want to spend £100's on new parts to have the same problems :)

also could someone help me out with what gpu to buy? I was thinking 970 or r290x but there are so many with such varied prices some help with that on whats best for value for money (the 8gb cards sound interesting) would be appreciated too thanks

right now im running a 750ti with 8gb ddr 1600 on the h81m with a 600w corsair psu, and I cant even play KF2 without mouse lag and screen tearing (or kf1 for that matter, flawlessly anyway everything on lowest possible settings apart from being 1920x1080 res) i cant help but feel that a 750ti 2gb sc should be able to run either killing floor game on lowest settings at 60fps flawlessly, i feel like something is bottle necking it
