Here is my current build for my gaming pc I want to build
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/DBolati/saved/3b6F

How would this stack up to the best games on the market right now? Like Battlefield 4 on Ultra settings? I would love feedback, any changes I should make to this build to get the best performance for a budget around $700-800 would be much appreciated also!

Yes. But I suggest a PSU of at least 550W because the 280x needs more power. And an aftermarket CPU cooler as well because you will benefit from overclocking the FX 6300. The stock AMD cooler just don't cut it for overclocking.
I don't own a blu ray player of any sort and this is could possibly be my choice for this generation of gaming. But $15 for a dvd drive and spending the left over on a better cpu or gpu isn't out of the question

Oh okay. So if I throw in a extra $100 for R9 280X, it would run Battlefield 4 on ultra with 60+ fps? And in your opinion how does this build look, in terms of parts and budget? Because this is the first gaming/college PC I'm trying to build.

What do you think. I put a 280X, a very good PSU that has room for upgrades and a better motherboard

I'll definitely look into this build. Maybe use some of your suggestions and possibly get a better cpu.
