Time to do some serious dumpster diving in a industrial park/area, grab as many towers as you can carry. Strip each system and put the best parts together. Use your £50 for a older GPU and use Windows 10 unactivated for now.

you might be able to find an old console for that.

ryzen3 2200g is probably about the cheapest x86 new pc you can get for gaming. it's going to cost more than a new console.
ra pi 3+ can play some old games and it's cheap.
