Hi all, I'm a PC gamer, I play Battlefield 4 competitively and I'm trying to figure out if a pending upgrade to my system is going to be worthwhile or not. Hopefully you guys can help me decide.

Firstly, here are the relevant current system specs before I upgrade:

Mobo: AsRock Extreme4 Z77
CPU: i5 2550k OC'd to 4.6 Ghz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600 Mhz
GPU: EVGA GTX-780 Superclocked with ACX cooling
Monitors: 1 x BenQ XL2411T, 1 x accessory monitor

...and I plan to upgrade to:

Mobo: AsRock Extreme4-M X79
CPU: i7 3930k OC'd
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2133 MHz
GPU: 2 x EVGA GTX-780 Superclocked with ACX cooling
Monitors: 2 x BenQ XL2411T, 1 x BenQ XL2420T, 1 x accessory monitor

I am adding two more 120hz monitors in order to use Nvidia Surround and the extra GTX-780 in order to keep my fps up at the higher resolution. I currently game at 1920x1080 and get a pretty stable 120fps in Battlefield 4 on low player count servers but the higher the player count the more I get fps drops. Not drastic drops just the odd drop to like 85-100fps. The fps drops coincide with my cpu hitting 100%.

I am presuming that upgrading to the i7 3930k will either eliminate or at least alleviate the fps drops? This is my main concern, will upgrading the cpu really make enough difference to be worthwhile? If it's going to reduce the frequency and the amount that the fps drops substantially then it will be worth it to me but if it's not going to make that much difference then I can leave the cpu as it is. Any advice?

Thanks in advance, Mark.
