This is going to be my first PC build and i am looking to spend around 800-1000$ including the OS. Windows 7 is preferred along with an overclock able processor. I want to be able to run Crysis 3 and the more recent PC games on max or somewhere in that area. I would like the case to be well ventilated and have plenty of room for future upgrading for things such as 2 graphic cards and more ram. I was thinking about using this build but i am not too familiar with how parts work together so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also soon to make a gaming pc around that budget! I have put ALOT of research and thinking into this computer and have come with a pretty good result. It will max out most games with high resolution and high fps. Ex. Battlefield 3 will be able to run without a hiccup at Ultra settings and avg. around 60 fps! Crysis 3 will definately run on high settings at a pretty good fps. Here is my ultimate list!

The 7870 will not be nearly as good as the 660ti.
A 64gb SSD is pointless. Only ever get a 120gb+.
The corsair cx500 is a weak PSU. Its Corsair's worst PSU and uses poor quality capacitors.
16gb RAM is not needed. 8gb is all that's needed for gaming. Games still use only 4gb.
That case is junk. It has poor cable management and is WAY over priced. Get one from Corsair, Antec, Coolermaster.

k bye.

Did you not see the parentheses around "NOT NEEDED" for the ssd? i guess not.

I don't see the point in getting a 660 Ti. A 7870 LE is the best value right now, it's better than the 660 Ti and similarly priced.

If you going to overclock I would recommend artic silver for thermal compound. Right now newegg has a promo deal on this memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460 under 50 dollars after the % off.

as for the PSU I hear that cooler master is crappy I was recommended seasonic.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094 64 bucks if you plan on SLI or Crossfire I would go with this one

Thats just my two cents

Get a 3570k. Its a generation newer than the 2500k.
You cannot overclock with that motherboard. You need a z77 chipset.
Don't waste money on that liquid cooler. Closed loop coolers like that aren't really better than air coolers. Get a coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
That PSU is junk. Get one from Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic.
That cheap sound card will be awful compared to the motherboard audio. A sound card isn't needed unless you are producing music.
That case is expensive and not very good. Look at Antec, Corsair, Coolermaster, NZXT.
The gtx 660 is not good compared to the gtx 66ti.

The hd7870LE/XT is sold out everywhere.

I would strongly recommend my build. Its much better.

Make sure that the 7870 gpu is 2gb

Nope. Click "Details and Specs"

Clearly states it is a 2gb card. The title is incorrect.
