Recently, my wireless internet has been very slow when I'm trying to load webpages and watch streams. The stream would buffer for 2~10 seconds every minute or so, making it very difficult to watch twitch. However, I do not see any spikes in my ping when I play League of Legends or CS:GO.

I have tried pinging to my router and it is always <1ms... but when I try to ping a webpage, the latency would spike up into the thousands very frequently and will have Request Time Outs pretty often... I have also ran speedtests and they seem normal

I have scanned my computer using Malwarebyte and Windows Defender... I am not quite sure what's causing this lag... other devices in my home do not seem to have this problem... only my desktop, what can I do to resolve?

it may be just your browser. there are common issues around chrome. you can try this fix first below.
try disabling hardware acceleration. type "chrome:settings" in the address bar, click Advanced Settings, then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" under the System header. Close all open Chrome browser instances and restart Chrome.

and try to disable some of the extensions you have installed in the browser.

which browser are you using? is it ALL sites? did you install any 3rd party firewall? is your router configured to inspect packets? those will slowdown your pages from loading. building up too much security will give you these consequences.

if your internet speed test is normal, but your pages are slow to load. most likely its a firewall thats delaying them. if you have a feature to inspect packets thru your gateway, try turning it off.

it could be also your DNS, try resetting/flushing them. also your 3rd party firewall may have resetted your DNS to something of their own setting.

I am using Google Chrome and I don't have any other 3rd party firewall... I don't think I have my router configured to inspect packets... how can do I do that?

How do I reset my DNS? I have Windows 10
