Gaming platform query

Hi, I wanna know that isnt it better to get the game on the platform it was showcased on ? I mean for example Dying Light was showcased on XB1 and Battlefield Hardline was showcased on PS4 , so isnt it better to get those games on those platforms as they would run 5% better on those console ? Dunno, maybe I am wrong.

Games are optimized for hardware (in consoles), PC games are "unoptimized" due to the variability in system builds. PC games can outperform console games, however, due to better components existing and higher resolution support.
