So i recently got a msi gaming pro z370. Everything was going good with installing everything back together until i turned on the power switch and everything turned on for a sec and shut off. I did a troubleshoot and it turns out that when i connect the CPU wires from the Power source, too the motherbpard, everything shuts off but when i have it disconnected , it stays on but nothing appears on the monitors. On the motherboard itself, the ez debug light on the cpu is lit up but ive double checked eveything and ive checked the cpu threads and nothings damaged. Possibly a faulty Motherboard?

Are you talking about the 8 pin EPS connector? Make sure you are actually connecting the 4+4 or 8 pin EPS connector there, and not an 8 pin PCI/PEG connector intended for use with a graphics card.

If the connector IS the correct one, then I'd suspect you have one of four things going on.

A bad power supply with an internal short somewhere.

A faulty motherboard.

Bent pins on the motherboard CPU socket.

Memory that is not fully seated correctly.

Otherwise, there is likely more to the story than what you're offering at this point.
