Gaming rig help

I'm new to pc gaming,my rig consists of an i3 processor, gtx 750 1gb graphics card and 8gb ram.
Obviously this won't run the latest game ie tomb raider.
If I upgrade to a Gtx 750 2gb and an i7 processor would this run the latest games ?

No, the i3 is not the problem, the problem is the gtx 750. If you want to run latest go for a newer gpu.

Depends which i3 processor you have. If it is a 3000 series or newer I'd say just upgrade the GPU to a GTX 960/R9 380. If you need to upgrade both then the CPU to an i5 processor is always enough.
