I want to build my son a rig to play wow mmo and fps games and a few of the newer ones i do not what kind but the settings still are the same high and ultra settings if we can do that without breaking the bank lol i have a Coolermaster haf full tower case and evga 1000 watt psu he wants to go with ddr4 quad channel memory or is quad that much better than dual you guys know better than me also we will need mb-cpu-vid card-mem-hd boot and storage would like to stay under 1200 if we can thanks for any help you can give me on this i have changed a few things hope it helps out.

Well if he wants to build a new quad channel ddr4 system(is going to be expensive)(@what resolution is he planning on playing?), you have 2 options:

Option 1 is the new intel X299 platform

Option 2 is the new AMD x399 platform
