I am into fast paced online gaming "battlefield 1 for example" that requires a really low ping.
I have the router that my ISP provided which I don't think it is making the best out of my limited internet connection.

I have two problems.
1- where I live, the maximum upload speed is 1 Mbps.
2- limited budget (may be $120)

because of the low upload speed that I'm limited to, I have to compensate with another thing, and I heard that a better router might help.

I'm thinking about the TP-Link Archer D7 AC1750 ADSL2+ Router
but I need your help if there are better options.

thank you...

The router you choose is good, but if your ISP provide you only 1Mbps upload connection ( download should be high too btw) there is not point to get 1GBps router (1 Mbps = 0.125 MB/s). My suggestion is to ask if your ISP could provide you better upload speed for more money ofc. If he cant there is no point of this router or any 1GBps you could by normal 100Mbps and should do the work too. The other option is to have professorial router that could have load balancing and could combine two ISP for better speed. Ofc setting load balancing in such router will required advance networking skills not like normal router setup.

First you want to run a ethernet connection for any kind of online gaming. With the low speed you have from your ISP likely any router will be able to keep up with that. The differences mainly will be in wireless but you do not want to use wireless for games so that should not be big concern in selection.

I am going to bet the router you have now will be just as good as any new one you can buy. You limitations are likely purely a slow internet connection.

When you have a small internet connection you want to be sure there are as few devices using the internet when you play games as possible. You also need to check your own machine to be sure nothing is running in the background that is using bandwidth. Some things like windows updates unfortunately you can not stop and just have to live with,.

I kinda like that Idea of combining two connection for better speed. how to do that? and since the data is going through two different paths, will it affect the gaming experience?

That is the problem 2 different paths means 2 different ip addresses. You really can't do this on one end you need equipment on both ends. The best way is if the ISP does this for you. VDSL is kinda that concept. There are ways to use a special vpn service to do this but it causes a different technical problem.

Now the simple way is to only run games on 1 connection and everything else runs on the second. That you can do yourself.
