I am trying to help a friend that is wanting to get a gaming pc, he would play games on it like, Call of duty games, Madden Football games, Hunting games. This computer will only be used for gaming and for everyday use. He told me he has $1000 budget. He lives in United States and can buy from known sites, Amazon, Newegg, eBay, etc. This is only for the computer so this does not include keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.

Any help would be appreciated :)

thanks for the help

Actually the CL19 RAM needs to be changed for some CL16 RAM. You don't want to buy CL19 RAM when CL16 RAM is 10 more dollars. Get the G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 3600MHz CL16 2x8GB RAM Kit

PCPartPicker Part List

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory ($81.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $81.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

That PSU is good but a more modern PSU should be bought. Something like the Corsair TXM, RM, RMX - Seasonics Focus Gold, GX.

I would totally wait to get a Ryzen 5600X instead of the 3600 if your friend can wait.

Ryzen 5600X + 3060TI would be the best combo here. Waiting a bit is required for both but they are well worth it.
