Hi i'm looking to build a gaming PC for 1080P and some 1440P Gaming.
The games i am looking at playing are things such as battlefield 1, Rise of the Tomb raider, Recore, No Man's Sky, GTA 5 and many other games like these (FPS and Racing).

This is the system that I am looking to build and would love opinions as to how it will perform or better parts for around the same price ranges.

CPU: AMD FX 8350 Black Edition 4.0GHz (Turbo 4.2GHz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (In not sure how good the AMD stock cooler is so i was looking at an aftermarket cooler and I've heard great things about this one)
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming ATX AM3+
RAM: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3-2400Mhz
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal HDD
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 480 4GB NITRO+
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Fully-Modular ATX
Case: Deepcool Tesseract SW ATX Mid Tower Case

Thank you in advance for all of the replies.

Solution
the Zen chips were originally due in October, but that may have been pushed back to February.

Instead of amd, right now (and until we get genuine benchmarks for Zen), I would suggest an i5-6500, an H110 or B150 motherboard, and DDR4 ram as the only change to your build.
that should work fine for 1440p gaming, though I cannot recommend any AMD cpu right now.

The FX 8350 is a 4-year-old chip that was adequate when new, but hopelessly outclassed now

AMD's new Zen chips should be out soon (within the next 4-8 weeks probably) and promise better competition to modern chips - though it remains to be seen if that is true

So i should wait until the new AMD Zen chips are released and compare them to the performance of the FX 8350 and compare the price range??

I was thinking of swapping the fx 8350 for the i5-6500 and then switching the following parts too.

Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming ATX AM3+ SWITCH TO--> MSI Z170-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

RAM: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3-2400Mhz SWITCH TO--> Kingston FURY 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400Mhz
