Gaming + Some 3D Rendering Rig

Solution
Only thing you could drop that would make a dent in the price would be the SSD but I don't recommend doing it. The performance offered by an SSD is amazing. Your rig is great and I would not change a thing, except the thermaltake PSU. A cheaper tower may save a few bucks but the Enthoo pro is very nice.

Okay cool, do you think the i7-4790K is good for small time 3D rendering and gaming?

Absolutely you are correct. The i7-4790K is king for typical editing, rendering, overclocking and gaming. If you want i7 goodness without the built-in graphics and no overclocking, the Xeon is a good alternative. For professionals there's the 6/8 core X99 platform.

Awesome any ideas to make it a little cheaper or will I get the best performance with these parts?
