[SOLVED] Gaming specs

Evening all.

My son has asked for a entry lvl gaming pc for Christmas nothing flash just something to play Fortnite on.
I've found one with the following specs and was wondering if people could advise if it will be sufficient.

Intel core i7-2400 3.10 GHz
1tb hard drive
16gb ddr3
Nvidia gt 710 2gb
150 Mbps wi-fi dongle
Windows 10pro installed

I appreciate the graffics card will probably only allow for 40/50fps

I haven't purchased anything just yet, wanted to get some professional advise first. The budget is around £450 /£500 this one I listed was available for £200. Obviously the old saying of you get what you pay for applies here.

DO NOT GET PREBUILTS. This is my advice. Sure you could find an entry level pc in that budget but you'd be overpaying, I wouldn't even pay £200 for the specs you just listed; my rig is many times better than the specs you listed and I got it for a bargaining price of £160. I'm not even sure if an i7-2400 exists, you may be thinking of an i5-2400, which isn't anything special tbh. I owned a PC with the exact GPU (Gt 710 2gb) you listed and it's performance was awful and stuttery even with all of the settings turned down, look out for that awful GPU when searching for a PC as it's one many sellers looking for easy money to make. The wifi dongle doesn't do much but adds as an appealing factor to inexperienced buyers as ethernet is much more efficient. The DDR3 ram probably runs at a frequency of 1333Mhz which is some bad news too, but they make it up with quantity.

Honestly, if I were in your shoes, either buy individual parts and build the PC yourself using a youtube tutorial or let an experienced person handle it such as a friend who builds pcs or an actual professional.

I really appreciate your feedback it makes sense to look for a better rig that's actually going to preform the way it needs to could you recommend the parts required for a decent quality build?
