I will be building a new gaming/video/photo editing system (mostly gaming) and just wanted some feedback. I am waiting for the GTX 1180 but here is the a list of the other components:

dual 2x16 ram is better, 2 sets of 2x8 may not work together
1 SSD for OS, games and software caching, 1 faster SSD for material and 2 HDDs, 1 for data, 1 for backup.

Thanks for the input! I already have a 1TB SSD for games and another 6TB for backup storage so I should be good on that end. I might take your suggestion with the ram. As far the CPU cooler I was under the impression I could get a 4.7Ghz OC without too much heat/voltage.I am not really trying to do much more than that.

That cooler holds its own well against the Cryorig R1 Ultimate, and Noctua NH-D15, so it is plenty adequate.
