I've been changing small things here and there, just decided on the video cards over some ATI HD Raedon 6950's.

Would like your guys/gals opinions on any money saving tips or performance potential I might be missing. My budget is 3k and I right at that right now.

Agree about the Samsung HDD.

There is a newer, mostly better version of the HX1000, called the HX1050, which is also cheaper:
Corsair HX1050 80Plus Silver Modular $230 ($20 rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139034

However I would also seriously consider these:
Silverstone Strider Plus 1000W 80Plus Silver Fully Modular $185 ($11.80 shipping)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256057

Sentey Golden Steel Power 1000W 80Plus Gold Modular $190 ($5 shipping)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817322012

Enermax Modu87+ 900W 80Plus Gold Modular $230 ($60 rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194080
If you don't mind sacrificing efficiency and modularity then there are some ~900W PSUs below $150 worth considering.

I was not impressed by the reviews I read of the Zalman CNPS11X, especially considering it's price.
I would prefer to get the Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B:

With a fan of your choice.
Or
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 $80

Now the only thing I am worried about is the clearance on the CPU cooler.

The Width of the Zalaman is 80mm, and I know I can't go over that.

Does anyone have any experience with 16gb of Corsair Vengeance and a P8Z68 V Pro?

yes get the samsung f3 1tb hdd
