Im a gamer and im getting ready to build my computer and was wodering if someone could help me out. I was thinking about going with a viewsonic p220f for monitor would this be a good choice and if so whar resolution should i run it at? Thanks for any help.

Viewsonic makes decent monitors. Not the best but decent for the price.
On reading more on 22" monitors, seems like the 22" is marketing hype. The 21" monitors have the same screen size, but they can charge more for the 22" monitors. So I would consider a 21" monitor.
In terms of what resolution to run games on, that depends on what computer you have, video card and what games you are playing. More information would be needed.
