Ganes i used to run are now unplayable

Hi Good day . I yesterday i played far cry primal i was running it at 60 fps and today i was going to play it and at the first cut scene it is at 60 fps but when the game loaded up my fps was 5 and stayed like that tried restarting but nothing . Can anyone help me please .

When was the last time you really cleaned all the dust from the cpu and gpu heatsinks. Thermal throttling is the biggest cause of fps drops. Check the temps of the cpu/gpu when trying to game.
