Hello,

First of all, this is my PC specs.

CPU - Ryzen 5 4500
GPU - Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8gb
PSU - Atom B650 80+ Bronze
RAM - HyperX Fury 2x8gb
Mobo - Asus Prime A320M-K
Storage - Kingston NVME 1tb
Boot drive - Team group GX2 256gb

Now for my question. Why is it that my display becomes garbage if I toggle my GPUs BIOS switch to performance mode ? And when I try to launch the AMD Adrenaline, it gives me this error,

“The version of AMD software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed Graphics Driver”

But when I put the BIOS Switch to “Quiet mode”, the display becomes normal again and I can launch the AMD adrenaline software.

Here is the sample pic of the garbage display that I’m experiencing.

Please help. I’m just trying to boost my GPUs performance in the most cheapest way I know.

Thank you

make and model of monitor
update the bios of your motherboard make sure its 5862 or higher
https://www.asus.com/uk/motherboard...a320m-k/helpdesk_cpu?model2Name=PRIME-A320M-K

older boards a320 b350 where known to have power issues.

make sure your graphic driver is fully up to date as well.

Thank you for responding. Here are the details you asked.

Monitor - AOC 2060W3
Mobo BIOS ver - 6204
AMD Adrenaline ver - 24.3.1 (Latest update)

So you mean it’s possible my motherboard cannot handle my GPU while on performance mode ?

are you using any adapters to connect to that monitor ?
what ports are on the back as im finding conflicting info that says vga on some

3 things

bad gpu.
power supply is old and not providing enough power.
or motherboard is crapping out.

download hw monitor and check the temps of the components in performance mode.

https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.53.exe

it should give details on the mosfets etc see if anything's getting to hot

I think my PSU is fine. I just bought it 2 months ago.

So I’m choosing between a Bad GPU (Since i bought this over a year now 2nd hand) and Bad Motherboard. 2 very expensive components hahaha. Thank you for helping me out. I will try to monitor my components first.

other thing to try is the cable above.

or disconnect the cable and reconnect the cable make sure the little screws on the dvi d and monitor are screwed back all the way first then push it in i find sometimes the screws on the side of the cable can actually stop it making proper contact i usually screw them in last. also a common issue because of the bulky dvi d cable it can sometimes not be getting close enough due to case clearance due to a lip in some cases gets in the way of the ports it may work properly in eco mode as its not pulling power enough.

also double check monitor isnt in some weird power saving mode.
