The answers I got on the skydiving thread got me to thinking, by which
I mean more random speculation: What if our Garou hero somehow found
himself on a rocket bound for the moon! (hey, it could happen...)

Now, this isn't a technomagical rocket, just an ordinary one for
mortal use, so he's not going to the Deep Umbra. What happens when he
goes into the Penumbra while travelling the airless wastes between
planetary bodies? IS there even a Penumbra? If there's no Gaunlet up
there to speak of, maybe he'll automatically cross over? Could there
be some strange type of outer space Umbrood no one's seen before?

When he lands, and gets out in his Crinos-shaped spacesuit (because
it's cool and funny, that's why), how would the moon appear? As a
lifeless rock, or a living spirit? Would she be aware of him? Maybe he
wouldn't need the spacesuit to survive the Lunar Penumbra at
all...Actually, he certainly wouldn't, as there's no air in the spirit
world anyway, right?

Are there any technocratic moon bases? I can't imagine why there
wouldn't be...Especially if the moon has nodes, which (if it *is* a
living spirit) it should...Imagine the reaction of the Garou if they
see technocratic leeches on Mother Moon's flesh, feeding off of
her...Actually, how do the Garou feel about the 1969 Moon Landing?

Hmm...Come to think of it, didn't some WW books hold that the moon is
the physical manifestion of the Dreaming itself?

BTW, in one of the chapters of Ascension, the PCs meet a spiritual
incarnation of the moon called Diana; was this the same spirit the
Garou revere or something else? Any relation to this Selene entity
someone here mentioned recently?

Dex,
cutting back on Mountain Dew, now...^^

The answers are in the _Book of Worlds_.
It's the bible for the Umbra, suitable for Mages, Werevolves and
Faeries.

In short, the Garou will land on the mundane aspect of the Moon (rocks,
dust and no air) but will be able to reach the Penumbra.
