Question Gateway all-in-one zx4970g cpu upgrade?

What is the highest compatible cpu for the Gateway all-in-one zx4970g?
I can't seem to find this info anywhere especially on there own site.

According to this, the Gateway zx4970g uses a Sandy bridge CPU In an LGA1155 motherboard with an H61 chipset.

So, the motherboard should be able to support an I7 2600k. If Gateway supplied a bios updated for that motherboard, the I7 3770k should also be supported if you flash the latest BIOS.

This is all assuming the CPU cooler can support a higher TDP processor, which I'm not sure of.

I just tried upgrading the cpu to i5 2400 and it will not work, (check pic-url) is there a way to remedy this?

I suspect gateway locked down the motherboard.

It theoretically should support the i5 2400 (you see no image with a completely unsupported cpu) but i suspect it wont let you boot due to a tdp limit of the board.
