Gateway recovery windows 8

Gateway laptop just shows gateway on start up. I purchased a set of recovery discs from gateway/Acer and I get to the last disc then get an error
file:\e!?fi\microsoft\boot\bcd
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The boot configuration data for your PC is missing or errors

Please help
