I am trying to help a friend do a little cheap upgrading on his Gateway. However the case tiny and will limit his options so we decided to purchase a new larger case but we are not sure what form factor the motherboard is. All I have found is that it is a SSF motherboard but this is not telling me enough. Does anyone know what form factor this is?

PC Model: Gateway sx2801-01e
Motherboard: Gateway wg43m

Thanks!

Not having the machine in front of me, I can only make an educated guess. But if this is his machine:

If the case you decide to purchase specifies mini ITX like the Antec 300 does, it should fit fine. Otherwise you will have to do some hole drilling/tapping to make it fit.

If you stay with a SFF case designed for mini ITX boards, here are some to look at.

Thank you Clutchc. I was looking for a new case to fit his current motherboard. His current case is so small no dedicated GPU will fit. I was looking at the Antec 300. So you are saying his current motherboard is a mini ITX?
