Gateway ZX6971 Touchscreen not working

I recently replaced the hard drive in a AIO Gateway ZX6971. I reinstalled the OS using the restore disks. Since that time the touchscreen no longer works. I did a clean install with oem copies of Windows 7 and 8 since. I've tried installing the Touchscreen drivers from gateway, but it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Have you downloaded and installed all the Gateway Windows 8/7 drivers from their website? The ZX6971 drivers page is here: http://support.gateway.com/us/en/pr...
Where it says "Operating System", select Windows 8/7 Professional 32-bit, or Windows 8/7 Professional 64-bit as appropriate.
The drivers may not work if you don't have Windows 8 Professional Edition, so you'll just have to try them & see what happens.

when you select Windows 7 64 bit (the os the gateway came with) touchscreen is not an option.
