GC Crossfire for i5 750 LGA 1156

my computer from 2 years ago.

Core i5 750 LGA 1156 (never overclcok.. gigabyte smart6 stated can boost to 3.2Ghz)
Gigabyte P55 - UD3P
CORSAIR XMS3 DDR3 1333 2GB X 2
PSU 600W
Gigabyte HD4850 x 2

I wish to buy new GC for gaming in high resolution.

Please help me to choose which graphic card to crossfire and i dont want it to become bottleneck.

i have read some of this forum but didnt really understand it.

NVidia is much better for using multiple cards, having said that a single GTX560Ti is plenty.

I have an HD5870 but I would buy NVidia today based on prices and what is on the market.

Do you need to overclock with two cards?
Maybe. Run Task manager, observe all FOUR graphs for each CPU core. CTRL-ALT-DEL. If none of the cores reaches 100% there's no need to overclock.

I recommend you try about four games, and only overclock as needed. Each game is slightly different in CPU requirements.

**I'd also get a non-stock heatsink for your CPU if you don't have one yet. Spend about $40-$60. Look at NCIX. Your CPU will become much hotter and a stock fan would be too loud.

Power requirements:
You need to look at the AMP requirements for both cards added together. I think a GTX560 requires about 30A so two of them would use 60A. Your power supply should supply at least 1.25x this value which is 75A.

Technically this is the Amps supplied by the single or multiple +12V "rails".

Summary:
- get at least a single GTX560Ti, or 2x560 (non-Ti) cards. maybe Asus or MSI
- 75Amps on +12V for 2xGTX560 setup required
- good heatsink/fan for CPU
- NCIX is a great online store to search even if you don't buy there

Both use slightly different versions of a 28nm process and will use as little as a THIRD of the power (so quieter).

If you can't wait follow my above advice. I personally am getting a single, NVidia graphics card with about 1.5GB Video RAM with about 3x the processing power of my current HD5870. Hopefully around April 2012.
