Hello,

I've been spending quite some time messing around with overclocking my Ryzen system,
CPU cores and especially DDR4 memory and FCLK,

After some long hours, I finally came up with 2 stable configurations,
Which I'm not quite sure of the one to pick,

1) DDR4-3600 CL16 (All custom timings) / FCLK 1800 / Gear Down Mode OFF

2) DDR4-3733 CL16 (All custom timings) / FCLK 1866 / Gear Down Mode ON

Now both configurations have all the primary and sub timings set exactly the same,
With tRFC being the only exception because the value scales directly with frequency,
But I managed to maintain the same tRFC latency for both configurations (260 ns),

So the only differences in the settings are as listed above,
Memory frequency, FCLK and the Gear Down Mode settings,

The question is, which one do you guys think would put out a better performance?

The main concern here would be the impact of Gear Down Mode as the title stated,
It is extremely hard to get the Gear Down Mode "disabled" working stably past DDR4-3600,
And the DRAM voltage is already at the edge of what I'm comfortable to push for either configurations,

So I'll have to either opt for what little frequency I could get,
Or the best settings with Gear Down Mode disabled,

Please note that both configurations have passed extensive stability tests, stability is not the concern here,
I just need some input from more experienced overclockers out there for their take on these configurations,

Some more information about the system that might be useful,
CPU : Ryzen 5 3600
Motherboard : Asus B550

Thank you very much everyone,
All thoughts and discussions are appreciated.
