I have a 431 Watt Enermax power supply (eg465p-ve). I have 2 questions, even though they *say* you need a 481 watt ps to run the 6800 Could I get away with the 431, and seond, does this ps even have enough atx cables to hook everything up?

You have a 465watt psu, and yes the power will be enough, since it doesn't draw much more than the 5950U.

Whoops, 465, Ok so even though they specify 481 minimum the 465 is fine? Why do they specify so high then if people can get away at lower volumes, the just in case factor?

300 will run 9800pro, and the 6800 only drains like 20 more, so 350watt quality brand will be fine. Nvidia's so full of crap, don't listen to their bull$hit, probably got paid by Enermax+Antec to write that as their minimum requirement.

Heh I was thinking the same thing, Thanks alot for the advice, im kinda glad I dont have to go buy a new ps and rewire, I was thinking myself that if the card is that ridiculous and needed that much power they should seriously consider a 9v attachment option on the back of the card, The typical consumers computer dosnt have a 480 watt power supply.

I had to purchase the 550, since i'm pumping very high voltage through my system. But if you're not overclocking to the extreme, then it's not necessary to have anything more than a 350watt good brand.
