Geforce 7800GT

i am running my new 7800GT on an Anthlon 3800 processor. Should i be able to run all of my games on the highest settings possible? (FEAR, HalfLife2, BF2, Brothers in Arms EIB, Counter Strike, etc...)

I think everyone will need more system specs to give you an accurate answer. For all we know you could be running 512 MB RAM.

i am running an evga mobo, 1gig of ram, serial ata hard drive, 500w power supply. amd anthlon 64 3800 at 2.4ghz

You'll need to use a little bit of modesty, but you can set everything pretty high. You can raise your resolution without much penalty too.

Just make sure you have the latest drivers.

The best thing to do is to try it out and see. If you get jerky reactions, just down AA or Ansio a step or two, and you should be fine.

I haven't had a problem with similar specs, but I've been doing mostly Farcry and X2.

you won't be able to run bf2 on full cause you only have 1 gig of RAm, and that thing eats RAm like crazy, much better with 2gigs, and FEAR in a beast that can't be played on "absolute" high settings on any hardware.

U r so correct... i was playing BF2 last night and it was using 460 MB of my memory...

The resolution was to 1600x1200 with full graphic details... no AA or Ansi thought...

Upgrade To 2Gb of Ram , and you (Like Me) will be able to play FEAR at MAX Setting With 2xAA at Above 70 Frame in any Scence ,
Hey Please Install NFS Most Wanted and see if you can play it with all settings in max (shadow , reflection update , world detail , ...) in 1024x768 because i Cant
I Have To Set Car RefLection Update to LOW and Same For Shadows To Get Frame Rate in 50~60 ( Butt Still i Dont Disable 4xAA )
