geforce 9500 gt dvi to vga

hi i hav a galxy geforce 9500gt gpu 1gb ddr2
it has 1 vga and 1 dvi which looks like dvi-i
but thats what i want to be sure about can it support a passive dvi to vga adapter

is there even a slight chance that the connector is dvi-i but the 'i' part is just a dummy
