Hello! i searched alot of places. and i dont seem to find the answer. I am wondering what graphics card would be best for gaming? i use 1920x1080 and to run everything on ultra and get most fps. and get the smoothgame play. :)

Is it best to wait for the 980 ti or will 970 sli be better? The game new game GTA v do require a bit of Ram. Aswell as im not sure which one would give best fps and gaming experience in other games also.. if i should go with the 2 970 or 980 ti?

Thanks! :) I hope for a reply with someone that knows the answer :D

Honestly, to answer your question, I need to know one thing: do you intend to switch up to 4K?

If you are aiming for 1080p:
The 980Ti is an expensive card, but any single card is a safer bet than any SLI'd pair. The SLI'd pair may be more flat-out powerful, but that's only on games that are optimized for it, which many aren't. If you already have a 970, then the price of another 970 will be much lower than a 980Ti, but if you are planning on buying both 970's at once, then you would be better off with the 980Ti, or waiting for something newer to come from NVidia.

If you are planning 4K+:
The reason I mentioned waiting is that, right now, unless you have the new Titan Z or Titan X, gaming at these higher resolutions is not feasible on...

If you absolutely must have 4K this moment, your best option is to buy an R9 295 XII for the same price as the 980Ti, you'll get much better performance at higher resolutions.

Summary
1080p or 1440p: 1x 980Ti
4k or better: 1x R9 295 XII

Hope this helps
