Geforce-Athlon Compatibility?

I've heard the Geforce 3 has had compatibility problems with motherboards that have Athlon chipsets. Is this a problem that occurs with all Geforce cards and manufacturers? I am going to be installing a Geforce 2 Pro and want to know if compatibility problems are something I will have to deal with.

Don't know for AMD but I am currently having a hard time (see Last Resort post) with my VIA chipset and my GeForce 2 GTS (perfect on WinME but not on Win2k) Hope someone will be able to bring something useful about your issue though.
