I just bought an MSI GXT970 Graphics Card and noticed that GeForce Experience (Optimise your Games function) renders the game at 2560x1440 then converts it to 1920x1080. Why does it do that?
Before I "optimsed" my game (BF4) I was seeing over 120FPS whit all Eye Candy enabld. After optimisation I was getting about half that and could see no discernable difference in Picture Quality.
My BenQ 22" monitor has a Native Resolution of 1920x1080 and it would seem that is a Max Setting.
So Again, why would GeForce Experience do that. Is there any advantage in doing that?

Solution
Rendering at a high resolution and then downscaling is equivalent to using SSAA, it's generally the best-quality anti-aliasing available. It's also extremely demanding on the graphics card though, so if you want more FPS it is absolutely the first thing you should disable.
