Right now I'm running a Geforce mx 440 8x, it does the job, but I was thinking, without spending a lot of money I was looking at a Geforce fx 5200. Any pro's, con's, suggestions. I'm looking under 100, trying to stay as low as possible.

Not worth the upgrade.

The FX5200 sucks.

Nothing under an R9600SE or FX5600 will give you appreciable benifits, other than show you some shiny surfaces in a slideshow sort of way.

If it were at least an FX5200Ultra, then the story would be a little better at least.

I think you can get a GF4ti for under $100, or an R9600SE (or an R9600 if you can find one at that price).

Those would be my choices.

Go Geforce4 Ti4200 64meg or Radeon 9600SE, depending on your preference.

P.S. The 5200 eats my ass.
