Question GeForce GT 1030 + Fedora 42 - - - screen resolution issue ?

Hi, I'm running Fedora 42 Cinnamon on a desktop with a new GeForce GT 1030 GPU. Nvidia drivers installed, nouveau disabled in the kernel. But cannot get Fedora to offer a resolution higher than 1920 x 1080.
Any help with troubleshooting this would be really appreciated.

That's the maximum 16:9 resolution for single-link DVI at 60Hz. Higher requires a dual-link DVI cable, or HDMI. Or Displayport, but then you wouldn't have a DVI port.

Thank you for replying. I'm using HDMI and have tried testing with Display Port as well. No change.

Cinnamon generally uses Xorg, so try using terminal command xrandr to set a custom resolution.

If there's a file cinnamon-settings-daemon-xrandr.desktop in hidden folder /.config/autostart then try deleting that too.
