GeForce GT 520 Replacement

I got a CyberPower computer a couple years ago for Christmas. However, as time passes, yesterday's hardware gets a little impractical for today's gaming. I've decided to start thinking about making a couple replacements for some stuff.

Mainly, I'm just wondering about a graphics card, as I'm pretty sure that is the part that needs upgrading the most. I currently have the Nvidia GeForce GT 520. I am willing to pay $172 at the most. Any suggestions?

I recommend a R9 270 or a Cheap 280 ive seen 280's new as low as 179.99

Need to know your CPU and Model PSU.
16 gb ram is not needed, 8 would be fine. The savings can be put to a better card.

My processor is the AMD Athlon II x2 260 3.20 GHz

Oh, I know 16gb isn't needed, I was just fine with getting it, considering was relatively cheap compared to the original price of the 2x 2GB

perhaps a gt730. maybe a 740. Its definitely a step up. This isnt too easy; trying to not recommend a card that won't be bottlenecked by your cpu much.
