Hi!

I bought a brand new mainboard ASRock FM2A68M-DG3+ and graphic card Zotac GeForce GT 730. Is it not support PCI Express x16? When render test in GPU-Z is running in the bus interface I can see PCIe x8 2.0 @ x8 2.0. Is it everything ok? I think it should be PCIe x16 2.0. Screenshot link from GPU-Z and CPU-Z: https://screenshot.net/ll9d3fo

Thanks for reply.

As I wrote before: when render test in GPU-Z is running in the bus interface I can see PCIe x8 2.0 @ x8 2.0.
No information about x16.

I don't know about the 730, but I have a GT710 and although it is installed into a pcie x16 slot on the motherboard, the connection on the card is only 1/2 the length of the slot on the motherboard, and it also says PCIe x8 2.0 @ x8 2.0.

Is the connection on your GT 730 (the gold contacts) full length or half length like mine is?

It is full length

The info GPU-Z showing appears to be normal. Here are some more screenshots:

What motherboard did you have before? Did you just install a new MB and not reinstall Windows? Could be an after effect from not reinstalling, and/or not installing the chipset drivers.

That all said, as I said before, it doesn't matter, that card can't even come near to saturating 8x, nevermind 16x.

Sigh, all Kepler GT730 are PCIe x8 electrically. Zotac even makes one in x1 which should tell you how unimportant this is at the low end of the performance spectrum.

People get confused about this because the card appears to have the full complement of pads on the x16 connector, even if half of them aren't hooked up.
