Hiya all,
I am newish to building PCs. I say that as today I shall do my first ever major PC upgrade. I want to get a GTX 1050 4G (haven't decided on clock speed as of yet) as my current AMD 7850ks built in graphics arnt good enough for some games now. I want to know, if I can use them in the same system (I'll use the APU just for CPU stuff) and what my recommended Power Supply should be (my current one is a mesely 250w) I also want to know if everything will work together including Motherbord.
Thanks!

SPECS:
CPU: AMD A10 7850K with built in graphics (I think r7)
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3 8Gx2
Current Graphics Card: Built in graphics
Motherboard: ASUS A58M-E
Current Power Supply: 250w

If you need any other specs just ask. Also I know I have double the 'Needed Ram' but I heavily mod some games so it helps alot (yes that includes MC, but I'm not a 5yr old peasant lol)

Solution

a 1050 ti is indeed a discrete card

as it is not built into your system = integrated

you are going to need to upgrade the psu as well

My budget is around £200 excluding shipping. Now I don't just play MC, I also play other games like Rainbow Six which struggle badly with my built in graphics. Also, does the 1050 ti count as discrete? Thanks!
