GeForce GTX 1050 TI with Pavilion p6000 Series Not Working

I have just purchased an EVGA GeForce 1050 TI GPU and an EVGA 500W PSU.
I planned on installing both on an HP Pavilion p6746f that I was handed down.
I purchased both, NEW from Amazon and from trusted sellers.

First I installed the 500W PSU and booted up, everything was perfect, normal as usual. Then I tried to install the GPU, and I get stuck at the BIOS splash screen (HP v7.15) with some beeps. I get 1 short beep, then a long break (5-10 seconds maybe), then 1 short followed by 3 rapid beeps, then no more beeps. It sounds like my system is starting up fine other than that.. but I can't get past the BIOS splash screen and I can't control anything with the connected keyboard. (The keyboard works fine though)

I really can't test the GPU on another system, my last resort is to ask a technician to look at it, but I really need help asap! I am severely frustrated and my level of excitement compared to the outcome is definitely not producing a good effect. If I need to provide any other information, I will happily do so, I have tried many many solutions found from searching around, nothing is helping.

CPU: Intel Core i5 (2nd Gen) 2300 / 2.8 GHz
RAM: 6GB (3 cards)
GPU: (Original): Integrated - Intel HD Graphics 2000
OS: Windows 10 x64
Motherboard: Pegatron Cleveland-GL8 (Stock with p6746f)

Info: GPU fits in a PCI-E slot on the stock motherboard, no extra power needed (I think...not like it's working) I have uninstalled and deleted Intel Graphics drivers, then I tried disabling it, neither has worked. I have tried DDU as well it didn't help. My BIOS seems incredibly limited, I can't find any Secure Boot option, I've tried PCI-E slot security Enabled AND Disabled, when it's off I get a black screen but no beeps. (It's confusing, I believe Enabled means that the PCI-E slot should work)

I can't think of anything else right now, but I've gone insane, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking around - that Cleveland board isn't going to run a 1050ti mate.
Its old & doesn't support uefi only cards.

Nothing past the old gtx 6** series has any guarantee of working on it.
Some people have 7** series cards working , the maxwell 9** series cards 100% do not work either.
^ that's entirely untrue - PCI express revisiona are backwards compatible - there's no difference between 2 & 3 at all when it comes to GPU compatibility or performance
What we have here is 99% likely an incompatibility with the HP motherboard itself as with many older dell, HP , lenovo systems

Well thank you both for answering, and Matt for the probable reason I am having issues.
Is there a motherboard that I could get that would allow me to keep everything the same?
(Yet allow everything to work, of course, including the GPU)

Solution

I live in United States of America, thank you for helping me, I really know nothing about motherboards so if you can point me as close as possible in the right direction I'd be very appreciative.

Alternatively, is there a good graphics card that I could use with the stock motherboard? The thing is, I can't really spend much more money than I already have on this, but at the same time I would love to be able to, at least, run some games on my only computer :)

I'm not even sure a 650 will work mate , the board has woeful GPU compatibility.

The issue here is socket 1155 boards haven't been in production for 4 years.
What there is available is both limited & expensive.

If you were in the UK I could source you a cheap h61 for £40 or so.
In the us you're looking $70-80 minimum & then possibly a refurb.

Man, thanks alot for all the information and constant replies, I've really learned alot from you already. I thought it may be too good to be true to casually stick a new gpu into an old HP stock, but I couldn't find any reason why it wouldn't work. (I learn most things from experience XD) Not the best way in this scenario.

Thank you for the link to that deal, definitely gives me a guideline to keeping this "project" alive and cheap. Though I'm not sure if I should continue or just save up for a brand new build at this point, based on the age of this rig.

Could you maybe show me some h61 boards that you think would work for my setup (including the case) as it would be cheaper to save up to get a "new" board than work on a brand new build.

Hey man, I have the exact same problem as you did with your gtx 1050 TI (beeps and everything) and we both have old prebuilt HP builds, I was wondering was there any updates on what you did with your 1050 TI. Like did you get it to work, and if so what were the steps you used!?!

Sorry to hear you're having the same issues man, as I know it's pretty frustrating. Unfortunately, as of right now I'm still running the (unhelpful) on-board HD Graphics. I tried working with all the cards a lot, but I've had no success on any. To be fair though, I only tried 3 cards, and they were all from the NVIDIA lineup, and Amazon.
Anyway, I ended up returning the 1050 to Amazon (which us the reason bought the cards from Amazon - for super easy returns) which gave me ~$130 back in my account, so I bought an EVGA GTX 750Ti. The 750 gave me the same issues as the 1050 did (which makes sense) so I returned that one. I then bought the MSI GTX 750Ti OC, which has the bios switch on it for legacy bios support. I actually had a lot more faith in this one when it arrived, but again, same issues as both cards before it, so I returned it.
To be fair to madmatt30, he probably wouldn't have recommended any of these, but I was working with existing money on Amazon, so I was somewhat limited.

As of right now, I'm using a RaspberryPi 3 with RetroPie (a video game emulation system) to distract me from worrying about a new GPU/machine until I have enough money to get/build a new system. Obviously I can't even really play PS2 games on it, but I'm just a game lover so the old arcade games are fine for me until I save up some money.
As for you, I'd recommend looking at what madmatt30 said, maybe look into the 6 series a little bit, or - if possible - try to find an h61 board with uefi support to work with a more recent/popular graphics card. I haven't found anyone that can confirm any GPU's working on the board I have, but I also don't really know where to look.
Maybe you could spend some time looking up your mobo model and seeing if anyone has confirmed any card working with it, if you provided your system info I could try to help you look a bit if you wanted too.

I wish you the best of luck man, if you make any progress, let me know, 'cause it could help me out, and maybe some other people that run across this thread. I'll also keep you updated if I find anything that could possibly help you out.
