[SOLVED] GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Fan problem

Hi, I have a problem with my 1060 fan. There are two fans on GPU, but sometimes one fan start working really fast and lock at hight speed for while like 1-30 mim, at the some time the other one works fine. If i brake a little the fast spinning one with my finger it will go back to working fine. It happen no matter if I play games or if PC is left at the desktop screen so I dont thing that overheating is a problem here. I have newes drivers installed.

Did you set any custom fan curve in the software?

Looks like a fan tachometer issue to me. Can you RMA it? Or get it checked at a PC shop.

I think I can, I was hoping this to be software problem, but maybe best solution is to get it checked

Yep, doesn't sound like software problem as tou said you don't have any sort of custom fan curves and you reinstalled GPU drivers.

Operating a fan with a possibly faulty speed controller may damage the whole cooling solution it may even burn out the fans if they start spinning at super high speeds.
If I were in your place I would get it checked and replaced.
