[SOLVED] Geforce GTX 1080 Ti Overheating

My graphics card has been overheating recently and I have looked everywhere for an answer. I have cleaned, reinstalled drivers, updated drivers, and also have vsync on with low settings to see if it would lower temp but it stays at 83* C. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

fans working properly/are clean? fans pretty much running at 100% when it gets to that temp?

I imagine redoing your thermal paste would fix your issue, obviously you have to be comfortable enough with electronics to do that.

If it's 83c under load with high settings it's not a problem. Have you cleaned any other case fans and filters too?

83C is warm but it's not overheating, it might throttle at that temp but it shouldn't be dangerous to the card.

What model 1080 ti is this?

83c. by itself is not a problem for a graphics card.
That is about the target temperature for best performance.

What might be concerning is that this has changed recently.
What might have changed?
Perhaps a driver update?

Look at your case cooling.
Are all the fans running?
Are your parts clear of dust accumulation.
Try taking the case covers off and see if that helps.

Like others asked, are the fans running at all? with those on, you shouldnt get even near that temp, even when fully loaded(at 1080p)
