Hi Guys
I bought a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 for my intel board, homebuilt computer. Previously I had a geforce 8600 installed and it worked prefectly but once i deleted drivers and installed the 260 the computer started up but there was no display on monitors. I eventually got it to work but this is the usual scenario. I have to turn on the computer on and off a bunch of times before it randomly turns the monitor on. When I turn it on, the 260 fan gets loud going full speed and then drops to silent. As soon as it hits silent the monitors light up but to get that to happen I need to turn the PC on and off 20 times through power supply until I randomly get it right. If the 260's fan goes full speed upon PC startup and stays going full speed, the monitors never turn on. What can be the problem here? THe video card works well with games and now I just keep the PC on 24/7 to avoid messing with it for 10 min every time I want to turn it on.
