riot L2READ the gtx 275 pwned the 4890 while consuming less power if we go by Tom's benchmarks, I hope you are some sort of troll .......

I want to wait a month or so to see how they do with new drivers, either way both cards are great.

eklipz actually I read other reviews on the cards and they gave the win to the 4890 and the person who wrote the articles for this site seems to be influenced by NVIDIA to say the least.

I'll go with my wait and see approach but I have noticed that tomshardware does tend to make nvidia look better by reviewing a regular 4870 card for example and then reviewing an oc'd gtx 260. Maybe i am just tripping but ya there is the possibility, at least we get a part of the picture here.

No, i can read, im not a troll, i even said i was going to get a GTX 260, anyway the GTX 275 is going to cost more then the 4890 according to toms, maybe you can learn how not to be a jackass,

[citation][nom]eklipz330[/nom]the gtx 275 was better than the 4890 in most tests, and even beat the gtx 280 in some tests under and incluiding 1920*1200[/citation]

I am seeing varying reviews from multiple sites.
The 4890 shows as slightly faster on some and the 275 shows as slightly faster on others.

I would say their about even.

Defenitly, right now Newegg prices the GTX 275 at $260, While the 4890 is at $250 with an OC'd version at $265, +Rebate. Also, FAIL at HIS for pricing their OC'd 4890 at $300 while the XFX Xtreme is $265 and only 25mhz slower. This is gonna be pure Price/Performance, but im going to assume the 4890 can handle xAA and xAF a little LITTLE, bit better. (limit 99 per customer -.-)

I trust guru3d for their reveiws and overall it looks like a tiny win for the 275GTX, both are very very good cards and neither will dissapoint you if you get one, but it looks like the 4890 will be the cheaper one here in the UK by at least $40 which puts it in the win for me :)
