Geforce GTX 285M

I have an Alienware i7 940XM with 8GB menory and a Crucial 256 SSD. There is 2 GeForce GTX 285M video cards. Here is my problem. If I do any type of work that puts any stress on the video cards the fans run at high speed. Should I upgrade the cards or what?

you have two hot cards in laptop, they will run hot. Upgrading them may or may not be possible (depending on the laptop itself) but you will have a hard time finding better laptop video cards and those that are will run hot anyways.

Thanks....now I feel a lot better about the fans. I just did not know any better and could not find an answer else where. I am loving the site already.

I called Dell about the fans running at high speed and they sent a repair man to my home and put 3 new fans and new paste under the cpu and now every thing is normal.
