So the other day our old graphics card fan burnt out and was over heating our computer. (The older card was a EVGA GeForce 9400 GT 1GB) so we bought a new card today, the PNY GeForce GTX 650. We installed the new graphics card and everything fits but when plugging the computer and turning it back on we get no visual. Nothing, we can here everything start up and the fan on the card is moving so power is not a issue but our monitor doesnt respond. Thinking maybe it was just a problem with the monitor when tried to hook up the tv using the mini HDMI nothing happened. We have windows xp, most solutions weve found have been for windows 7 or 8 can some one please help 🙁

Did you remember to plug in the 6 pin power cable to the card? Got the video cable plugged into the correct port for the monitor's setting (HDMI, DVI, VGA)? Not plugged into the on-board video by accident, are you?

You may just have a bad card. No matter what OS you have, you should get a display in POST at boot-up.

Everything is plugged in as it should be. Our motherboard only has one slot for a graphic card and the 6pin power cable is plugged in and the monitor is hooked up correctly. We put our old card back in and it works fine. Its just the new card that isnt working 🙁

Alright, so we went and traded for a new graphics card, this one is the same brand as the old on its a EVGA GeForce GT 640, only takes like 340w, about 60w less then the other card (our computer can support up to 430w). We are still getting no reaction from the monitor 🙁 i dont understand, the old card will boot it up and so will the stock card but none of the newer ones are working. Still needs help... our mother board is ASUS M2V any other ideas?

im not sure about the bios just yet, were hooking the old card back up now but no the monitor wont even turn on, no matter how long you wait or push the button its staying as a black screen with a yellow light

Hi,

Did anyone one resolve this? I've just purchased a Gigabyte GTX650TI OC 1Gb DDR5 and when I turn it on the PC beeps a few times with nothing on screen, however, it then proceeds to load windows but I still don't get an image. I'm using DVI and have tried 2 monoitors and am running the 2101 firmware for the M2V Motherboard.

If I plug my old Nvidia Quadro card back in it works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
