I very confuse in about pci e slots.......my motherboard is Asus p5kpl-am/ps it has gpu interface of
pci e 2.0 x16 slot.firstly i was thinking to buy gtx 660 2gb it has 2.0 slot then geforce gtx 950 looks better in performance but it has 3.0 slot can this gpu fit in my 2.0 x16 slot??
I've PSu of 400w.....Geforce gtx 950 2gb has 350w Can i upgrade my power supply up to 550w??
Can this possible that we can upgrade Ram of mobo more than of its capacity...beacuse my asus mobo is limited ram of 4gb maximum only🙁

Solution
Yes it will work. I know this because I have a NVidia GTX 950 in a 2.0 x16 slot on my computer. EVGA GTX 950 FTW, i5-2500k, Asrock Z75 Motherboard.

no you cant get more than 4gb of ram on that motherboard

pcie 3.0 is backwards compatible, i suggest updating the motherboard bios before you install the new card

also a gtx 950 needs a pcie 6-pin cable from the power supply, does your current psu have one?

if not then you will need to upgrade that as well to run your new card

also if you dont have a core 2 quad then you also should get one
