Hi there. My MSI Geforce GTX 960 is about 3 months old. About a week ago one of the fans would always be spinning even when idling and I noticed this because of the noise. Now whenever I turn on my computer, one of the two fans is spinning at around 1200 RPM when its at 26 degrees. I can't seem to understand why this may be.

The temp is already under 40 and the fan is going. Changing the curve won't help

Yeah, you can set it so the fan won't run until the temp hits 40 degrees C or whatever you want.

Obviously this is a bit drastic but here's an example of what you could do so the fans wouldn't run until you hit 40 degrees C.

That's not actually that drastic because the fans on the 900 series GPU's aren't supposed to run until the card reaches 60 C by default. Switching that to 40 C would actually make the fans run more often if his was acting the way it should.

It's a nice feature they added to make the GPU silent when your PC is idle or you are just browsing the web.

It is unresponsive to MSI afterburner. I set it at zero and no response. When I am logging into windows on startup the GPU is already spinning at 1200RPM.

I meant more just the slope of the curve but yeah I agree.
