Processor:AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor
Speed:3.8 GHz
With a 500w PowerSupply: ATX-XG500w
I was wondering if i could support a GTX 970?
And If I cant what upgrades can i make to support it?
My motherboard is GA-78LMT-S2 btw.

Solution
Since the motherboard doesn't have very high power delivery, it can only handle up to the FX-6300 safely. On the other hand, the FX-4300 will be okay for playability, but for some performance heavy games you may find that you get held back just a little bit. Most importantly though, is making sure you have a decent power supply since the one you currently have is very low quality.

First of all you want to get rid of that power supply.

Next, you can run a 970 on what you've got remaining, but you may be running into throttling issues with the FX-4300.

What would you suggest I upgrade my processor too? FX-8300?

I might upgrade my Processor, but the power supply is priority right now.
