GeForce GTX 980 vs GeForce GTX 980 ti kingpin edition

No 980 Ti exists nor has it been confirmed to even be a future card. The 20nm Maxwell cards due out next year would be when a 980 Ti is released if it is indeed going to be.

Kingpin edition cards are generally the best cards EVGA offers with support for extreme overclocking. Something 99% of gamers will never need.

MSI announced there won't be a 980 Lightning, reason surmised is they are saving it for nVidia's top 900 series card which we haven't seen yet. EVGA announced a classified, but no kingpin

Well a 780 Ti is roughly about as powerful as a much cheaper GTX 970. It is not really a good idea to get a 7xx series card unless it's dirt cheap. Nvidia has discontinued the 780 and 780 Ti. A GTX 980 is only $550 and it is quite a bit faster than a 780 Ti.

780 Ti is just about half way between the 970 and 980
