Hi all,
I recently purchased a GeForce 780GTX Gigabyte-branded card. Within 15 minutes of running the card the screen froze and was flooded with pink and green artefacts. I immediately powered off the computer. After a short wait of 2 minutes I rebooted to seeing green lines on the screen, even during the motherboard's splash-screen at the very beginning of boot-up.
I am using the latest Nvidia drivers downloaded from Nvidia's website by specifying the exact card-type and OS version. My old Graphics card works fine with the DVI converter and motherboard, ruling out a cable/motherboard fault.
Does this indicate a faulty graphics card? I acquired the card via a small seller so cannot easily supply Gigabyte with a receipt to facilitate replacement of the card. If the card is indeed 'broken' how could I provide information to gigabyte in lieue of a receipt to allow them to replace the card?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
